Answers To Frequently Asked Questions

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a methodology and group of technologies that enable voice and data transmission over the Internet instead of traditional telephone company copper phone lines.

“Cloud-based” means that the phone and fax technology infrastructure and network are located in multiple secure data centers around the globe and delivered to your business via the web. This eliminates the need for capital investment and the hassle of installing and managing complex hardware in your office.

IT Level 3 is a Miami, FL-based, privately-held, hosted VoIP services provider. Our goal is to empower start-up’s and small-midsized businesses with affordable, high quality communication and collaboration services. We’re proud to offer enterprise solutions for a fraction of the cost of the competition. You can focus on building your business without worrying about paying for expensive overhead.

Not at this time.

Analog telephones communicate over traditional copper wires. VoIP phones transfer information via the Internet.

The same way you would with an ordinary telephone. The only difference is that you use an IP phone plugged into an Ethernet connection instead of a phone jack. The call is made digitally over the Internet.

Substantial cost savings! VoIP is much less expensive than traditional phone service, especially in cases of heavy long distance or international calling. It’s also much more advanced than analog telephony with features such as voicemail-to-email, find-me/follow-me, simultaneous ring, etc. It’s also simple to manage through an online interface.

VoIP is a great way to reduce phone bills and improve the professional appearance of a small office. With features such as a virtual receptionists, dial-by-name directory, virtual departments and call queuing, you’ll no longer appear to the public as a small business.

Instead of having shared phone ‘lines’ like traditional phone systems, each VoIP phone is an extension within the phone system and comes with its own direct phone number. New accounts can start with a couple of extensions and scale as your organization grows.

IT Level 3 provides tremendous value by delivering an astounding set of features at low cost, with superior customer service and reliability. Your business will get affordable access to services usually limited to Fortune 500 companies.

Not at all. We understand that communication is the lifeblood of your business. We take every precaution possible to ensure your phone numbers are ported (transferred) from your current phone company smoothly.

DID stands for Direct Inward Dial and describes a telephone number that can be used to route calls directly to an extension in a telephone system. Each extension comes with one DID. You may choose to distribute the number or provide your company’s main number.

Our popular Business Unlimited Extension calling plan delivers flat rate VoIP pricing per extension for unlimited calling* in the US and Canada. Metered extensions and international calling may incur per minute charges. All plans are subject to taxes and mandatory regulatory fees.

IT Level 3 accepts major credit cards for all monthly services.

All services are month-to-month with no contracts or cancellation fees whatsoever.

All you need is a high-speed Internet connection and an IP phone. Our Communicator Softphone (a software program that emulates a telephone key pad) can be used with a headset and your computer instead of an IP phone. IT Level 3’s services are cloud-based, so there’s nothing else to buy or setup.

That’s the idea. IT Level 3‘s services replace expensive and outdated phone system hardware and virtually eliminate CAPEX for new equipment.

Each active call requires approximately 64 kbps up/down of bandwidth from a DSL, Cable, T1, or Fiber broadband connection.

Virtually none. The IP phones are delivered preconfigured, fully provisioned, and ready to use. Simply plug them into a high-speed Internet connection and start calling.

We do have equipment leasing programs. Please contact us for more details.
